Being different than other studios defines us. We're a large, full service facility, from pre-production and recording to mixing and mastering. This is why we call it a mountain. The studios within these walls may be different, but that's what makes Fader Mountain Sound more than just a studio.
Fader Mountain Sound is extraordinarily pleased to announce that we have a new studio partner joining the team on January 1st, 2017.
We welcome Rob Darch and Hipposonic Studios to our facility as they will be taking over the large room previously occupied by The Farm Studios and, most recently, the Nimbus School of Recording and Media.
Hipposonic has been a local recording institution in this city for over 25 years, occupying various spaces around the city, most notably the Mushroom Studios building while working with such clients as The Wu-Tang Clan, The Mars Volta, Tegan and Sara, Black Mountain and many many more.
Hipposonic will be bringing a wide array of both classic and modern recording gear to the facility including a glorious 2 inch tape machine. Look forward to more information and updates as January 1st approaches.
Rob Darch is an integral, honest and positive force in the Vancouver music community and we are elated to be moving forward with him.
Fader Mountain Sound has decided to stay at its current location, and has recently renewed its lease at 201 W. 7th Avenue and made it official. We're delighted to be moving forward in this infamous space, and happy to announce we'll be welcoming a new friend and studio into the mix on January 1, 2017. We're also honoured to still be operating our studios after 5 years in what was the original Little Mountain Sound, especially these days with so many larger studios closing their doors.
Stay tuned for more good news and good people.
